Sales Gallery & Atelier
Original art gives a space a character that a reproduction can rarely replace. A painting is not simply a decorative element of an interior – it brings the artist’s personality, atmosphere and a story that gradually becomes part of the space in which it lives.
Milo Sakač is a Croatian painter and architect who creates original contemporary artworks, primarily acrylic on canvas. The MiloArt Gallery presents more than 150 original paintings in a wide range of formats and dimensions. The works are available for purchase, whether as part of a personal art collection or as original art for private homes, offices, hotels, restaurants and other interiors.
The paintings can be explored online through the MiloArt Gallery and, by prior arrangement, viewed in person at the MiloArt atelier in Gata near Omiš and at the atelier in Zagreb.
Original paintings available for purchase
Every work presented in the MiloArt Gallery is an original artwork by Milo Sakač.
A large part of his body of work consists of acrylic paintings on canvas in a variety of formats – from smaller works that can easily become part of more intimate spaces to large canvases that can become a dominant element of an interior.
The works are organised into collections connected by a common idea, visual language, relationship of colours or period of creation. This way of presenting the works makes it possible to discover each individual painting while also understanding the broader context in which it was created.
In the online gallery, visitors can explore collections and individual paintings and find information about their dimensions, technique and availability.
MiloArt Gallery of contemporary painting
The MiloArt online gallery brings together more than 150 works created throughout different periods of Milo Sakač’s artistic practice.
Rather than presenting paintings as isolated objects, the gallery brings them together in collections. Each collection forms a distinct body of work and reveals a different approach to colour, texture, composition and space.
Visitors can explore different collections, compare works and discover a painting that connects with their personal sensibility or with the space for which it is intended.
Viewing the works online is only one way of discovering them. By prior arrangement, paintings can also be viewed in person at the MiloArt atelier in Gata near Omiš and at the atelier in Zagreb.
Paintings for collectors and lovers of contemporary art
Buying an original painting is different from buying a reproduction or a decorative object. An original is a unique work physically created in the artist’s atelier and carries traces of the painting process itself.
The texture of the surface, layers of colour, brushwork and material qualities of a painting can only be partially conveyed through photography. For this reason, seeing a work in person can be particularly valuable when choosing an artwork.
MiloArt is intended both for people who are already building their own art collection and for those considering the purchase of an original painting for the first time.
For additional information about an individual work, its availability or price, you can send an enquiry directly through the gallery. If you are not yet sure which artwork would be suitable for your space, you can also read How to Choose and Buy an Original Painting?
Contemporary painting in interior design
The relationship between art and space is an important part of Milo Sakač’s artistic and professional approach. As both a painter and architect, he considers space and artwork through proportion, composition, colour, light and the relationship between a painting and the architecture of an interior.
A painting in an interior does not have to be simply a final decorative addition. It can become one of the elements that defines the character of a space, creates a visual focal point or connects colours, materials and proportions into a coherent whole.
When choosing a painting, its format and dimensions, the proportions of the wall, the arrangement of furniture, the colours and materials already present in the interior, natural and artificial light, and the distance from which the artwork will most often be viewed can all be important.
A large painting can define an entire space and become its central visual element, while a smaller work can create a more subtle accent. Several related works from the same collection can also be combined to create a larger composition.
The colours of an artwork do not have to literally repeat the colours of the furniture or walls. A painting can connect harmoniously with an existing interior, but it can also create contrast and bring energy and personality to the space.
Original paintings by Milo Sakač can become part of private homes and apartments, offices and commercial spaces, hotels, restaurants, villas and other contemporary interiors. The variety of formats and the distinctive character of individual collections make it possible to consider artworks for very different types of spaces.
Some works on the MiloArt website are also presented within interior settings, making it easier to visualise their scale, visual presence and relationship with the surrounding space.
Choosing art for an interior
If you are looking for an artwork for a particular interior, the selection process does not have to begin with browsing paintings alone. You can send MiloArt a photograph of the space, approximate wall dimensions and some basic information about the interior.
Based on the space, suitable formats and available works from different collections can be considered. Milo Sakač’s architectural experience makes it possible to consider a painting not only as an independent artwork, but also in relation to a specific architectural space.
This approach can be useful when choosing art for a private home, as well as for architects, interior designers, villa and apartment owners, or when selecting artworks for hotels, restaurants, offices and other commercial spaces.
The aim is not to match an artwork to an interior according to predetermined rules, but to find a relationship in which art and space create character together.
